Legal
Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to your use of this website and to enquiries made through it.
This document is an editable starting point written for this website. It is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed against the business's actual practices before being relied upon.
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website, operated by Kim Locksmith Melbourne Service of 119 Kavanagh St, Southbank VIC 3006, Australia. By using the website you accept them.
These terms are provided as an editable starting point. The business should have them reviewed against its actual trading practices, quoting process and warranty position before relying on them.
Information on this website
The content on this website is general information about locksmith services. It describes how work is commonly approached and what typically influences a decision, but it cannot account for the condition of a specific door, frame or lock.
Nothing on this website is a substitute for an assessment of your actual hardware, and it should not be relied on as a recommendation for a particular product or course of action for your property.
Enquiries, quotes and pricing
Submitting the quote form is an enquiry, not a booking, and it does not create a contract. No price is published on this website and no price is implied by any content on it.
Any quote is based on the information you provide. Where the condition of the door, frame or hardware turns out to differ materially from what was described, the quote may need to be revised, and that will be discussed with you before further work proceeds.
Authority to request work
By requesting locksmith work you confirm that you are the owner or occupier of the property, or that you are otherwise authorised to request work on it.
For common-property doors in apartment buildings, and for locks that form part of a restricted or building master key system, authorisation from the owners corporation, building manager or system holder is required before work can be carried out. Proof of authority or identity may be requested.
Service scope and availability
Only the services described on this website are offered, and only in the areas listed on the service areas pages. No claim is made about availability outside listed hours or areas, and no response or arrival time is promised on this website.
Some doors have exit or compliance functions under building and safety requirements. Where that applies, hardware must not compromise the ability to leave the building, and only work consistent with those requirements can be carried out.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Where a warranty applies to hardware supplied, it is the warranty provided by the manufacturer of that hardware. Ask about the applicable warranty before work is agreed.
Intellectual property
The text, layout, images and design of this website are the property of the business or its licensors and may not be copied or reproduced without permission, other than normal personal use of the website.
Third-party links and maps
This website links to Google Maps so you can view the business location and get directions. Those services are operated by third parties under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on this website at the time you use it is the version that applies.
